A site-specific animation designed for the media facade of the building of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb- MSU.

PETRIS was in the official selection of “Animation goes MSU!” a program section of Animafest, International animated film festival, Zagreb in 2016.

The animation is made using a a combination of pixel style frame by frame animation and 3d animation. It is an homage to the game of tetris and a nod to the new retro wave movement.

The idea was designed around the building itself, so the animation would come to life as a whole in it’s enviroment.

PETRIS  was also selected for a special screening on Supertoon Animation festival in 2017 by Daniel Šuljić, the artistic director of Animafest Zagreb, among other 22 works from 11 countries whose authors have found the best way to adapt to the specific demands of this open-air animation format.
